FSS Friends Showcase

Look at these pieces of art we've found hanging in our galleries over at Flickr and Splitcoaststampers!!

We love this fun and colorful card by Judy Rozema.  Her color combination and overall design are fabulous and we love how she used our Games People Play set to create her love themed card.  Adorable!

Next up is this ode to summer card by DT alumnus Amy Tsuruta.  We love the subtle, whitewashed stamped subway image paired with the wooden banner and bright white flower.  We love even the smallest of details like the wavy yellow panel.  Perfection!

This beauty by Melissa Shea makes our Happy Hexagons set look SO good!  We love the bold black graphic images laid against the stark pink background.  The added bits of bakers twine complete the package.  Brilliant!

Tenia Nelson had some fun with You Said It, Sister!  This card is all about the details - from the staples and polka dots in the corner and the pearled sentiment banners.  We love all layers of all the bits and pieces and how it all comes together to form one amazing creation.  Awesome!

Christmas in August, anyone?  Yes please!  We just love what Sandie Munro has done with the cityscape scene, which can be found in our On Trend 2013 set.  And if you look really closely you can spot some sparkling "snow" settling on the ground.  Love!

And last, but certainly not least, is this clean and simple beauty by Mary Beth Stull. Inspired by the FSS design team, she used Words to Live By (sentiment, star) and On Trend 2013 (dots, diamond) to create this stunner.  We love the bold color palette and the simplicity of her design.  Amazing!

Thank you for joining us for our very first FSS Friends Showcase.  Keep posting your creations to our Flickr and Splitcoaststamper galleries and you just might see your creations on our blog!!  :)

We'll see you back here on the blog tomorrow for more FSS inspiration for our awesome design team!

Release Week Day 3 - Inside Scoop: Birthday

We spend a lot of time making fabulous cards.  We use great stamps, colorful paper, painstaking coloring and more.  But what about the inside of the card?  What do I say now?  Never fear, Fresh Squeezed Stamps has you covered!

Inside Scoop: Birthday is the first in a new series of stamp sets that will make every card maker's dreams come true!  Everyone loves to create the image and embellishment covered card front, but what to write inside?  There are six birthday-inspired sentiments you'll use all the time for the cards you make the most.

Inside Scoop: Birthday

This set is so versatile that, even though it's called Inside Scoop, using these sentiments on the front of your card is A-OK!  Virginia Lu has created a gorgeous watercolor rainbow to wish someone a happy birthday.  Notice how she also used the sentiment as the background on the die-cut frame?  What a clever way to change up how you'd use a sentiment.

Virginia Lu

Tracey McNeely might have been "framed" for missing a birthday, but she makes up for it with an awesome card!  That sweet paper bow and pleasing color palette help make the celebration last well beyond the birthday!

Tracey McNeely

Soft and subtle, Heather Campbell's card mixes balloons from the new set Life of the Party, as well as circles from On Trend 2013, to add lots of pretty color to this birthday card.

Heather Campbell

How many candles go on YOUR cake this year?!  You won't have to spoil the surprise when you use this sentiment on your next birthday card.  Leigh Penner has created super fun 3D candles that really make this card a "match" made in heaven!

This watercolor resist card by Heather Pulvirenti blends two of our new release sets -- Life of the Party for the balloons and the sentiment from today's reveal, Inside Scoop: Birthday.  Love how the thin jute string mirrors the strings on the balloons and the color combo is fantastic!

Finally, Erin Taylor wraps up this party with a sweet little number that goes like this...a watermelon sorbet ribbon and banner set off the soft blues and greens of the patterned paper, and those tiny little stars sprinkled on top are simply delish!

Release Week Day 2 - Subway Series: Occasions

Welcome, welcome!  We're so glad you could join us for some Day 2 hoopla!  Today we've got a new addition to the Subway Series family -- this set is made to celebrate more special occasions...

Subway Series: Occasions offers more trendy, fun, subway art for a new variety of occasions!  These crisp, clean stamps make card making easy, and even give you an excuse for having fun -- grab your girlfriends, or just get ready to celebrate the happy couple or that sweet bundle of joy!

Subway Series: Occasions

Erin Taylor leads this parade of amazing cards using our new Subway Series set.  Don't you just love those sweet buttons tucked behind the image panel?  And she's used a great color combo -- golden yellow and the sentiment embossed in mint -- you can almost smell the baby powder!

Erin Taylor

Tracey McNeely is ready to invite her girlfriends for a spa day or girls' night out!  Love that touch of divine sparkly-ness that sets off the hot pink card base and embossing! Don't just sit there, that girls' night IN is what you need this weekend...

Tracey McNeely

Welcome, little one!  Heather Campbell uses shades of blue and white on this tag topped card to wish a lucky baby boy all the best.  She's also created a background of clouds and stars using Fresh Squeezed Stamps' Weather Through set.

Heather Campbell

The happy couple will simply LOVE this handmade card by Virginia Lu.  The beautiful combination of alcohol inks on vellum makes a gorgeous backdrop for the embossed sentiment, and the tiny gold heart adds just the right touch of pizzaz!

Virginia Lu

Wouldn't this make a fabulous bridal shower invitation?!  Leigh Penner stitched this one up with that great banner, then tied it up with a bow!

Heather Pulvirenti used the baby sentiment as her background, then singled out the "sweet baby" and made it into a banner!  What a unique way to use this subway art style stamp!  The onesie is from String Me Along and creates a perfect focal point.

Release Week Day 1 - Life of the Party

Well, hello there, and welcome to our August Release Week bash!  We're starting our week off with a party, of course, and this new set is just perfect.  Our design team has come up with some very special cards that really show off the versatility of this one...

Life of the Party is full of images perfect for today's families and their love of birthday parties.  We've got a playful piñata, balloons of all kinds (including a precious giraffe!), wild and crazy bubbles, a storybook inspired cake, and lots of sentiments to mix and match.

Life of the Party

This colorful piñata is the perfect match for Virginia Lu's clever sentiment!  Looks like we got lucky and now everyone's going to enjoy some sparkly goodies!

Virginia Lu

What's a party without bubbles, right?  Tracey McNeely put layers of color onto this playful card, so throw on your party hat and celebrate!  We won't burst your bubble...you're in for a good time!

Tracey McNeely

Heather Pulvirenti expertly used texture to create a fantastic backdrop for her embossed and paper pieced piñata.  She threw in a great sentiment from Everyday Expressions, so now we're all ready to party!

Heather Pulvirenti

Clean and graphic is just one of the styles that works well with this new set.  Heather Campbell does a great job with it here using *pops* of color on the balloons and enamel dots -- crisp, clean, clever!

Heather Campbell

Don't these balloons make you smile?!  Leigh Penner made a shaker card using the giraffe and round balloons from the set, then added colorful sequins inside a photo frame die-cut. There may also be a little sneaky peek of another new release on this one...

Leigh Penner

Erin Taylor rocked this birthday card with lots of trendy colors and patterns, making our crazy cake the star!  Who wouldn't love receiving this card on their birthday?!

Stitched Starry Banner

Hello!  It's Heather Campbell here! Today I'm sharing a card I made still inspired by the stitched stars from Weather Through.  When I saw the stitching, I completely envisioned these stars being stitched and tied together.  So, I had to bring it to life on a card.

The bows are from String Me Along and the sentiment is from Words to Live By.

Thanks for stopping by and have a wonderful day!

A Little Pink Lemonade

Hey there! Leigh here with a card that I made using two new sets that were just released last month: Everyday Expressions and Sublime Citrus.

I used some patterned paper to create a background and a "table." I stamped my pitcher and glasses onto vellum using Versamark and heat embossed them with white embossing powder. Then, after fussy cutting them out, I took a Q-Tip dipped in pink ink and coloured on the vellum to make my lemonade.  (I thought it would be fun to make some pink lemonade!)

I stamped a super fun Everyday Expressions sentiment on a banner layered over a second smaller pink banner. Just looking at this card has me longing for a glass of pink lemonade! Mmmm!

Thanks for stopping by & have a great weekend!

Congrats

Hi Fresh Squeezed Stamps fans!  Tracey here sharing a personal congratulations card. By using sentiments and images from You Said It, Sister and The Envelope, Please, I created a faux subway art card using the chalkboard technique on chocolate.  This is a fantastic way to combine sentiments from several sets to create a completely customized card.

Come back tomorrow for some more Fresh Squeezed fun with Erin! Have a great day.

Light Me Up

Hi, everyone! Heather P. here with fun little CAS card that's sure to brighten your day. *wink*

To create my card, I started with a white card base, then stamped the string, bows and lanterns from String Me Along before coloring the light bulbs with stickles and adding bling.

While the stickles were drying, I stamped a polka dot strip from You Said It, Sister onto the card base, and then added a ribbon and bow.  Next, I adhered the cardstock portion of the sentiment to the card, and then finished up by stamping the remainder of my sentiment and a little lightning bug.

Across The Miles!

Happy Monday, dear Fresh Squeezed friends! It's Virginia here! Today I am sharing a simple card with you.

Sometimes the stamped images can speak volumes, you hardly need to do any fancy techniques or tricks to showcase them! I simply mixed and matched the two stamp sets and had a ton of fun creating a happy scene! This almost one layer card is perfect for mailing!

String Me Along                                     The Envelope, Please

Can you tell which stamps I used? I used 9 stamps in total from String Me Along and The Envelope, Please! Be sure to come back for more inspiration from our DT! Thanks so much for stopping by!
